The Charity regularly holds it's own events to raise funds for specific projects and assist with the maintenance costs for the facilities.

The calendar of events for 2026 has been set with events throughout the year for you to join in and enjoy. More details of other events will follow as and when they are available.

The events planning team is a group of local residents who volunteer their time to organise and deliver these events. We are always on the look-out for people who are willing to join our team to help. More details about volunteering can be found here

2026 Fundraising Events at the Reading Room

This popular event is back for the fourth year running!
​
Children need to walk around the field to find the clues and solve the puzzle. Suitable for pre-school and primary school children.
​
Prizes include an easter themed activity and a sweet treat.
​
Our volunteers will be running the cafe from the main kitchen selling hot and soft drinks, homemade cakes and bacon rolls.
​
All the profits from the trail and the cafe are in aid of the Curdridge Reading Room & Recreation Ground Charity.
​
If you can buy your tickets online, it will help us to cater for the right numbers. Entry can also be paid on the door.
This is our second Bingo Night of the year. These family friendly events are a lot of fun with some friendly competition to see who can get a full house first!
​
The ticket price includes two bingo cards for your first game. There is usually two to three games as a minimum, more if there is time, with intervals in between for you to buy additional bingo cards and refreshments from the bar.
​
Prizes are given for a line, two lines and a full house.
​
The bar will be open when you arrive serving a selection of soft and alcholic drinks at less than pub prices.
​
As space is limited, it is better to buy your tickets online to ensure that you can join us. There may be a limited number of tickets available on the door however, this is subject to whether ticket sales online have sold out and cannot be guaranteed.
