Set in the heart of the beautiful village of Curdridge, the Reading Room is the perfect venue for a one-off party, event or regular class.

The Curdridge Reading Room and Recreation Ground is a charity, run for the benefit of all of the inhabitants of Curdridge and Curbridge, providing and maintaining a facility for recreation, sport, religion and learning activities.

We extend a warm welcome to people from across our local area with many regular clubs, classes and activities taking place here, currently including Tai Chi and children’s dance classes, a thriving drama group, history and gardening clubs and more!

The Reading Room building comprises of two separate areas which are both available for private hire. Both the Main Hall and the Billiard Room have their own kitchen facilities and between them can cater for up to 120 people, making this the ideal location for a variety of events including classes, workshops and exhibitions as well as fundraising events, parties and weddings.

When you consider the ample car parking and massive outdoor area we have, the Curdridge Reading Room ia a unique facility with much more to offer than your average village hall.

Although we receive ad hoc grants from bodies such as our parish council, the Reading Rooms and Recreation Ground are actually a charity, with a long established historyand constitution, run by volunteers. We are reliant on the proceeds of the annual Curdridge Show to maintain the fabric of the buildings and grounds with the day to day running costs both inside and out being met directly from hire fees.

On this site is the Curdridge Cricket Club which has been part of life in the village since 1853. They run Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday teams, who all play on the Recreation Ground and have their own clubhouse.

Also on the site is our Scout and Guide Headquarters.
