The Reading Room provides a versatile meeting space for a variety of different groups. Our existing groups meet weekly, others bi-weekly or monthly. What sets the Room apart is our flexibility – you can tailor the facilities to suit your needs, in a way that few other venues will allow.
We can cater for the entrepreneur, who needs a venue to run regular classes serving the surrounding community of 1,200 people and beyond, as well as local clubs looking for a convenient and an affordable place to meet.
The Reading Room also hosts monthly meetings for charities and similar groups.

The versatile layout can accommodate different types of activity, with larger (and louder!) groups in the Main Hall (with a capacity of 100), while the Billiard Room offers a more intimate meeting space (capacity of 30). See Gallery for potential room layouts.

There is ample locked storage space, and many of our clients leave equipment onsite in between classes, which is a major convenience for them.

Each room has its own kitchen, stocked with crockery, cutlery, a fridge freezer and dishwasher, as well as bathroom facilities. See Inventory for more details.

The local community of Curdridge, with a population of around 1,200, provides a captive market for the keen entrepreneur. We can also help to promote classes via social media.

The Reading Room is located on a quiet road and the tranquil surroundings are conducive to learning and concentration.

Curdridge has excellent transportation links: Botley Railway Station is less than a mile away and the village is less than 10 minutes from the M27 motorway.

Ample free parking is a major benefit, while the children’s playground is handy for keeping children entertained as they wait for their siblings to finish their class.
