MEMBERSHIP

  • You do not have to be a Member of the Charity to use the Reading Room and Recreation Ground

​

  • Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in furthering the purposes of the Charity within the terms and conditions of the Constitution

​

  • Membership is free of charge

​

  • Members are responsible for electing the Trustees at Annual General Meetings and have powers to call Extraordinary General Meetings under certain circumstances (see Constitution)

​

  • Members also have voting rights on certain major decisions and constitutional changes

​

  • Members are generally individuals, but each of the organisations which meets regularly at Curdridge Reading Room and Recreation Ground may also appoint one Representative Member each if they wish (see Constitution)

​

  • Since Members are responsible for electing the Trustees and holding them to account, we are eager to receive applications for Membership from as many interested parties as possible

​
